This is so easy, it's almost disgusting. I mean, I figure Norton probably manufactures most virus's that they have "vaccines" for, but I thought they would have designed Antivirus to be more secure. View a detailed instruction guide place the exclude.dat file in C:/Program Files/Norton Antivirus or the installation directory—if you were smart enough to not use the default—Norton Antivirus no longer scans any file using * (anything) You can also just use the exclude.exe file I made, which automatically installs it. Most people that I've talked to don't even know that you can exclude files from Norton's scanning. Nobody checks this. Norton Antivirus will keep pretending to scan and not find anything! |

own your box. When windows starts up, it dispays that ugly, nasty image
reminding you that you are using a system designed for the learning
impaired--
if you know any better, and telling you flat out that your box is Windows shit.x. Well, look here, if you own that box, mark your territory. Solution: If you're using Windows 95, 98 or ME, place this file in your C:/ directory--after you unpack it. Reboot and lookie! You can edit this image to say or show whatever you want. But, at least for now, you have something. |

EXPLORER.EXE is very easy to rewrite.
If you're using Windows 95/98/ME place
Explorer.fix* into the c:\Windows directory
and overwrite c:\autoexec.bat with this new AUTOEXEC.BAT |

The next time the computer restarts the "start"
menu will say "Hackt".
You can also do it with this AUTOEXEC.bat which will
just delete the autoexec.bat after making the switch. This is a better way
if you want to cover your tracks. if you need to append around existing contents in the autoexec.bat (some old dos drivers loading or some such nonsense) add these lines to the end of the autoexec.bat on the target Winbox: |

to it. Try this:

Now you should have access to the C: drive of your box--Yes, YOUR box. Fish around. Most people leave Regedit out in the open and ready to be fixed. |
